New timetable of Northern Railways – All Express Trains

The new time table of Northern Railways will come into effect from the midnight of June 30. This year, a total of 42 passenger trains are being added, out of which 33 trains would be mail and express trains and nine would be local trains.

In the new time table, the frequency of 9 express trains has been increased and the routes of 17 have been expanded.

AC Express from New Delhi Railway Station to Katra would run for 6 days a week and Superfast train would run from New Delhi Railway Station to Bhubaneshwar. A new train would run from Delhi Sarai Rohilla Station to Ferozpur, Sikar and Rajkot.

New trains would be flagged off from Old Delhi Railway Station to Chapra, Ambala Cantonment and Hoshiyarpur.

Lokmanya Tilak AC Express would now run from Hazrat Nizzamudin Station, Delhi to Thiruvananthapuram.

Time Table of Ahmedabad to Patna Weekly Train

         

Train No.09409 Ahmedabad – Patna Weekly special train will leave Ahmedabad o­n every Friday at 23.25 hrs to reach Patna Jn. at 09.50 hrs o­n Sunday from 5th April to 28th June, 2013. Similarly, Train No. 09410 Patna - Ahmedabad Weekly special will depart from Patna o­n every Sunday at 23.30 hrs to arrive Ahmedabad at 05.35 hrs o­n Tuesday from 7th April to 30th June, 2013.

The train will have AC II tier, AC III tier, sleeper class   and II class general coaches.

It will halt at Maninagar, Nadiad, Godhra, Dahod, Ratlam, Nagda, Kota, Sawaimadhopur, Gangapur City, Bayana, Agra Fort, Tundla, Kanpur, Allahabad, Mugalsarai, Buxar, Ara and Danapur stations in both directions.

Allahabad, Bandra, Surat special trains for Kumbh Mela

Western Railway will run two special train to Allahabad from Bandra Terminus and Surat to cater to additional rush of passengers due to Kumbh Mela.

Train No. 09011 Bandra Terminus - Allahabad Special train will depart from Bandra Terminus at 4.55 pm on January 7, 2013 (Monday ). It ill reach Allahabad at 3.25 am on January 9, 2013. The train will have Second Class Sleeper and Second Class General coaches."

He further said that the the train will halt at Borivali, Boisar, Vapi, Valsad, Udhana, Vyara, Nandurbar, Amalner, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Pipariya, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna & Manikpiur stations.

The special train (No. 09047) from Surat will for Allahabad at 22.45 pm on Dec 31. It is schedule to reach Allahabad at 3.25 an on January 2

Traveling in Suburban train cost more from Jan 1

Commuters will have to pay increased fare from January 1, 2013 while traveling in Mumbai Suburban trains as the railway board has hiked surcharge for repayment of loan taken Mumbai Urban Transport Project (MUTP).

The surcharge is levied according to distance slab. There will be no increase on travel between 1-10 km. The surcharge is for 11-50 km, 51-100 km and 101 to 150 km.

The single journey fare will now cost Rs 2 and Rs 4 more by second class and first class category travel, respectively.

For Monthly Season Ticket (MST) the minimum fare hike is Rs 20 and the maximum Rs 40 in second class. The minimum increase in first class is Rs 40 while maximum is Rs 80 for first class MST.

For Quarterly Season Tickets (QST) the increase is between Rs 60 and Rs 120 in second class and from Rs 120 to Rs 240 in first class.
