Yeshwantpur-Vasco Express four days a week Railway Budget



With the Inter Railway Timetable Committee (IRTTC) meeting scheduled on January 8 and 9 at Madgaon, Goa, as a prelude to the Railway Budget 2013-14,

The Yeshwatpur-Vasco Express should be made to run four days a week and the Sampark Kranthi Express (Yeshwantpur-Nizamuddin) should be run daily via Hubli, Belgaum, Miraj and Pune, Mr. Mandoth said. He said there is a need to speed up the Bangalore-Nanded Express to facilitate Bidar and Yadgir passengers.

Special Trains Between Indore and Yeshwantpur


The Western Railway will run weekly super fast special trains from today between Indore and Yeshwantpur from December 30 to January 27 to clear the rush on Sundays.

According to a release issued (News) here on Friday, the Indore—Yeshwantpur Super Fast Train No.09307 will depart Indore at 8.55 p.m. on Sundays and arrive at Yeshwantpur at 11.15 a.m. on Tuesdays.

In the return direction, the Yeshwantpur—Indore Super Fast Train No. 09308 will depart Yeshwantpur at 1.30 p.m. on Tuesdays and arrive at Indore at 5.05 a.m. on Thursdays.

SCR Special Trains between Tirupati and Karimnagar


South Central Railway will run two special trains between Tirupati and Karimnagar in order to clear extra rush of traffic as per the following schedule:-

 Train No.02762 Karimnagar-Tirupati Special train will depart Karimnagar at 19 10 hrs o­n 3rd January, 2013 and arrive Tirupati at 07 55 hrs o­n the next day.

Train No. 02761 Tirupati-Karimnagar Special Train will depart Tirupati at 22 40 hrs o­n 02nd January, 2013 and arrive Karimnagar at 11 25 hrs o­n the next day.

 Enroute, these trains will stop at Renigunta, Srikalahasti, Gudur, Vijayawada, Madhira, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Jammikunta and Peddapalli stations.

Railway new imprest cards from Vijayawada division


Railway authorities of Vijayawada division introduced imprest cash cards, with the help of SBI, to avoid handling of petty cash by field officers. Releasing them on Friday, DRM Pradeep Kumar said they would help avoid cash handling up to Rs 30 lakh each month for transactions and added that 265 field officers in the division have been authorized as imprest holders

He added the cards would facilitate hassle-free payment of imprest decampment amount which will be credited in the imprest account of SBI main branch.
